John Paul Fauves Los Angeles Debut Exhibition
John Paul Fauves stands out with a masnion takeover in the Hollywood Hills.
Collectors and in-the-know Angeleno's gathered to go down the Fauves rabbit hole in what he calls “a lens deep into my soul.” The show included fine art mix media paintings with roaming models in Fauves designed masks, transforming a mansion in the Hollywood Hills into the art event of the year. The event reached full capacity and showcased 14 works in medium to large scale, and several Fauve's masks and sculptures. The show closed with strong sales, exemplifying what it takes to go rogue in the Los Angeles Art Market. PMA supported Noctem Group produced event with Public Relations, Guest List Management, and Sponsorship.
Via his 28 paintings, hand painted masks as well as audio/visual presentations, Fauves looks at the emotions felt by the viewer and delves beyond the surface. For this he uses famous figures in popular culture as a vehicle for expression, from Marilyn Monroe to James Dean, he merges these famous faces with Mickey Mouse, the ultimate symbol of innocence.
